Everything

Imagine, everything.

Then focus on this insignificant portion of everything called Earth and picture a small child, on a field of grass, on a spring day, looking at a lady bug. Is it a girl? A boy? Only you know.

They need guidance, love, support, acceptance. They require validation, trust, feeling useful. Now be prepared because it's your turn to provide all of these things to them. You are up to the task. Perhaps sometimes you forget. The child does too. They only have your example to follow. The ones before you, did their best. Or didn't. They were only human. You are only human too. A scary thought. Because I know, and you certainly know, that you care for the child. Or you don't. Why don't you? You really should. I know it's hard. I know you want to. You feel sometimes like you want to be the child. And have someone care. Safely wonder at ladybugs knowing home isn't far away. Homes are people though. And ladybugs are lovely in spring. Have I bored you yet? No? That makes me feel good. I did? I'm sorry, I did my best. In the end I'm talking to myself.

Now unfocus. Zoom back out. You're now looking at everything again. The whole universe.

Now take a step back and pull your face out of the everything.

You're now looking at your face just before you wash it. As I am.

It's Monday morning.

I wish you the best and I love you.

Good luck.
